CCL PROCEDURES FOR FCC PART 68 REGISTRATION
AND INDUSTRY CANADA CS-03 CERTIFICATION

Contact:

Clients may call or write CCL to request information regarding the testing, procedures, and fees for FCC certification of their equipment.

Quote:

CCL will issue a written quote for the FCC testing requested. The quote will be based on the information received from the initial phone call(s) and from reviewing any necessary technical data. The fees will cover complete testing, preparation of filing materials, and support of the work performed.

Materials:

The information and material listed on page two are required by CCL in order to complete the FCC Part 68 certification. CCL will review the material when received. If additional information is required, CCL will contact the client.

Work Time:

CCL will begin the work schedule once the equipment, required information, purchase order (or letter of authorization), and required deposit are received. The project is normally completed within two to four weeks.

Non-Compliance:

If the equipment does not comply with any of the test requirements, CCL will notify the client by phone and will discuss the failures with them (written materials will sent if the client so requests). The client may work with CCL as closely as needed to correct the problem(s). The following actions will then be taken:

  1. If the problem(s) are corrected in a short period of time, the testing will continue.
  2. If the problem(s) cannot be resolved in a reasonable length of time, the client will be invoiced for the work completed to date on a prorated basis. CCL will continue to assist the client in anyway. A new quote will be issued for the remaining work once the corrections have been made.

Completion:

After satisfactory completion of the tests, CCL will organize the test data and filing material into a complete FCC Part 68 report. A copy of the report will be sent for the client’s own record.

Showing Compliance:

The client then can either make a Self Declaration of Conformity (SDoC) or have the report reviewed under the Telecommunication Certification Body (TCB) program for a TCB grant. The SDoC is prepared by the client. The TCB is a grant notice prepared by CCL. The TCB grant is mailed to the client as soon as the review is complete.

Client Responsibilities:

The client is responsible to forward to the Administrative Council For Terminal Attachment (ACTA) the ACTA submission form along with the Liability Statement and either the SDoC or the TCB grant. First time submitters to ACTA must obtain a responsible party code (PRC) before submitting SDoC or TCB Grant to ACTA.

Congratulations:

The equipment can now be sold for connection to the US telephone network lines.

Industry Canada CS-03 Certification

Client's Responsibilities:

The client is responsible to sign and forward the Industry Canada application alone with the required Industry Canada fees. CCL’s letter of transmittal, which accompanies the report, will outline the procedure that the client should follow.

Industry Canada Review:

The Industry Canada will review the application and issue a certification certificate within two weeks. The certification certificate will be mailed to the client.
