FCC PART 15 VERIFICATION
Contact:
Clients call or write CCL to request information regarding the testing and procedures for FCC verification of their equipment.
Quote:
CCL will issue a written quote for the FCC testing, based on the information received from the initial phone call(s) and from reviewing any necessary technical data.
Materials:
The information and materials listed at the bottom of this page are required by CCL to complete FCC Part 15 verification.
Schedule:
CCL will begin work when the equipment, required information, purchase order (or letter of authorization), and required deposit are received. The project normally is completed within two weeks.
Failures:
If the equipment fails to meet the test requirements, CCL will notify the client by phone or Fax to outline the failures. Depending on the service requested by the client, CCL will work on a cost-per-hour basis to determine and/or correct the possible sources of the failures. If the failures cannot be corrected with the sample CCL has, an outline of where the problems originate and design changes that may correct the failures will be given to the client. If the failures continue, the client may take the following actions:
- Schedule time to have an engineer familiar with the design and operation of the equipment come to CCL and assist in finding the proper modifications to the unit.
- Send a list of possible modifications for CCL personnel to make on the unit.
- Send a unit with modifications already installed.
NOTE: To avoid the delay that failures can create, it is suggested that the client originally send additional samples or a list of modifications for CCL to make as described in items 1 and 2 above.
If the problems cannot be resolved in a reasonable length of time, the client will be invoiced for the work completed to date on a prorated basis. CCL will continue to assist the client in any way. A new quote will be issued for the remaining work once the corrections have been made.
Completion:
After the satisfactory completion of the tests, CCL will organize the test data and filing materials into a complete verification report. The report will be mailed to the client to be retained for his records.
Client's Responsibilities:
Label and manual requirements are included in the report. The client is responsible for meeting those requirements. The client must retain on file a copy of the report and make it available to the FCC for their inspection if requested.
